Provence Alpes Co^te d'Azur is a prime hunting ground and come truffle season, between December and February, the region comes alive with fairs, festivals in june 2016  and markets dedicated solely to the black pearl. Pop along to Carpentras (first Sunday in February), Saint-Paul-Trois-Châteaux (second Sunday in February) or the Festiv'Halles of Truffles in Avignon (10th - 12th February). While I am sure the festival goers of Ancient Greece had as much of a ball as festival goers do today, I suspect that the challenges of internet battles for tickets, transport, parking and camping facilities had a comparative place in their world also. After all, the principles are the same in that you have to get to the venue, find a vantage point and perhaps even stay overnight if you have travelled far. And the toilets at festivals? Well I guess that is probably the aspect of the two in which we have most in common with Ancient Greece, but no more toilet speak for this article

As a seasoned festivals in june 2016  camper I am going to share some advice with you in relation to your choice of festival tent which I hope will make your experience a more pleasant one than it would otherwise be and save you money. As spring rapidly approaches I am sure that many of you, like me, will have some of your festivals booked and the buzz will be starting to build among you and your friends and family for the warm weather to arrive (fingers crossed) and for the festivals to begin. I think you will agree with me that festivals don't come cheap these days, but when you consider just how much live music, entertainment, food, drink and FUN you can pack into a few days, they do give amazing value for money. If you are about to go to your first festival then good luck, take as much advice as you can and you will have the best time and I am confident that you will be queuing up for tickets for your next festival before long.
